Being Seen, Being Safe is a WA road safety initiative designed to influence positive road safety behaviour and raise awareness of speed around schools.
We first launched the project in February 2015 when we partnered with Mandurah Primary School, WA Police and the School of Drug Education and Road Aware Association (SDERA) by providing every student with a Being Seen, Being Safe high visibility vest.
The vests were funded through loose coin donations via the centre money spinners.
This new financial year we will be partnering with four more schools in the local community by raising funds through the centre’s money spinners once a term.
We will officially launch the project on 1 September when we announce our next four schools for FY1516.
